A custom logo for a concept passion project of mine, called Skate Flint.
I wanted to create motion within the logo, so the first and last letters appear to flow on into a road, while the "F" and "L" in Flint, create a glyph turned into a skateboard. The color palette I designed for this is meant to be a bit unexpected, strange and fun. The skateboard icon is a custom illustration and was used to make the patterns you'll find down below.
I created this digital illustration in the Concepts app on a Samsung Tab S7. I added the logo with the sky as the background. The original photo was shared with me courtesy of Josh Bearup. The image shows Josh at the Flint skatepark sporting a custom Stray Human sweatshirt, Josh's own startup clothing brand. I wanted the SH logo on his sweatshirt to show through in the illustration, as a way to offer a bit of brand recognition to locals familiar with his clothing line.
